GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE

Indexing request quota exceeded: what to do next

The quota message limits a manual action. It does not switch off normal Google discovery or explain why a page has not been indexed.

What the quota message means

URL Inspection limits Request indexing usage. Google does not publish a dependable daily number to build automation around, and normal discovery through crawlable links and sitemaps continues separately.

Do not create a retry loop

Refreshing or repeatedly submitting the same unchanged URL wastes attention. A request is a recrawl prompt, not a guaranteed queue position.

Use signals that scale

Maintain clean XML sitemaps, link new pages from relevant hubs, keep servers reliable, and control parameters, filters, and low-value archives. Reserve manual inspection for important URLs and representative template tests.

Fix the cause, then monitor

Run the preflight checklist and use the exact Search Console state to choose the next action.
